| In case you hadn't heard:
Ian will be a big brother around 2/5/2010!

| Ian continues to entertain us daily with his cuteness and enthusiasm. His favorite thing to do recently, besides anything and everything bubble-related, is to run back and forth from room to room, all while going, "ahhhhhhhh" so that his voice bumps with each pounding of the feet on the floor. Very funny to watch, and entertaining and energy-wearing for him, so even better!
As many of you know, we have been looking for a new home for Tango. We met with a really nice couple who live only 10 minutes from us that love birds. They have 3 of their own already, and Tango "took" to them almost right away (after a few test nips of course). I was so relieved that he gets along with them, and I think it's a perfect match that we will all be happy with, including Tango. We will miss him a lot, in some ways, but I'm also excited to see what our house feels like without the extra noise and mess. They are going to keep in touch every once in a while through email and photos, so I'm thankful for that. They are picking him up on Thursday. **bittersweet**
We're headed to Florida on Sunday! I'm so excited - Ian will really enjoy it this year I think. Last year he had fun with family, but couldn't really enjoy the beach much. This year I anticipate him throwing fits each evening when we have to go inside, and then him collapsing in exhaustion from the fun-in-the-sun filled days.
Here's what you've been waiting for - recent pictures! I finally got my birthday present - a digital SLR camera, so I've been having fun experimenting. Although, I still have A LOT to learn - I'm bringing the manual as reading material on the beach for sure!
Our little Blueberry Boy - this kid could eat blueberries, frozen or fresh, all. day. long.
Fun playing outside in this gorgeous Spring weather!
Trying his hardest to blow bubbles - still needs Mommy's help:
Exploring our jungle, I mean, backyard:
We will always recognize when all these pictures were taken because of that darn owie on his forehead:
He saw this lime on the counter and HAD to have it - he then took it under the coffee table and enjoyed it for a while, silly boy!
Ian soup? He loves to try to stand or sit in or on any small spaces. I'm so glad I got this shot, even though it's a little bit out of focus:
Ian's first time fishing! He had so much fun in Uncle Dave's boat (as usual), even caught a huge Sunny with Daddy's help! He kept making his fish face and didn't want to throw any of the fish back. He even liked to touch them (kind of).
Dave caught the most fish, as usual:
Suzanne caught a couple, too, if my memory serves me right:
Watching the bubbles in the water:
Loves bedtime stories with Daddy:
That's all for now. Stay tuned for Florida pictures next! Woo-hoo!

| My friend Heidi taught me how to automatically import my Xanga posts into my Facebook - hooray! I think this will really help me keep up on Xanga better, knowing that my Facebook friends will see it too this way. It's nice to know I won't have to update both.
Here are some pics of things we've been doing lately. Ian is SO much fun to have around!
Here's Ian playing with bowls, dish soap suds, and a measuring cup - 20 minutes of fun for him and I was able to wash dishes without him trying to crawl up my leg saying, "uppa, uppa, uppa" the whole time.
Helping Daddy wash his car one nice evening (sorry Ian's eyes look creepy, they had red eye)
Ian still loves to play with boxes, and sit in them if at all possible. This is what he does sometimes when I ask him to smile. Ha!
We bought Ian some bubbles, this was his first bubble experience - he LOVES them! Any time he sees the bottle he freaks and wants to go outside to play with "bahbah".
He can't quite blow hard enough to make bubbles yet, but he likes to try!
We have one of those spill-stopper tops on the bottle...so his favorite part of blowing bubbles is to dip the wand, silly boy!
And, he still loves to play in Lucy's kennel:
And we went to the Zoo for the first time! He loved looking at the animals, and we went with some moms who had mostly older kids, so he also loved watching them, too. lol
Playing in the big Zoo sand box:
Crawling through one of the tunnels:
Petting a goat at the petting area:
Ian and his friend Daxton with the goat:

| My dad came to visit for 3 weeks! He is amazing and he did SO much to help our house! Josh helped in the evenings and weekends when he could, but dad did the bulk of it during the days while Josh was at work. New front porch pillars (with lights!) to replace the spindly skinny little things that were there before. A new front door. A new retaining wall to replace the less-than-adequate previous one that was not doing it's job. Tore off the rotted wood from the side porch, and replaced it all with good wood. And those are just the big things outside...he also did a bunch inside the house! We are ever so thankful and I honestly don't know if it ever would have gotten done without his help. We love you, Dad!
Here's the new front of the house! (Still needs some major landscaping, a front walk, and new 2-inch blinds in the windows):
Here's the retaining wall that was going to cost us more than $3,000 to hire someone to do - it ended up costing less then half of that! Front view before and after (oh, and we finally found our septic tank, they had built the old wall OVER it! So we curved the new wall around it)
Back view before and after (two tiers even!)
Here's the side porch after the rotted wood was torn off, then after it was all replaced. Just needs some paint now!
All that in 3 weeks! Isn't he amazing?!
And here's a couple fun recent pictures: Ian "helping" papa: Playing with some big rocks they found in the yard:
Dinner at a local "real" Texas BBQ joint on my dad's last night here:
A little sunburned from finishing up the wall that day:
Right before we took him to the airport (shows that we need to paint the top of the new columns)
And now, a week later, Ian STILL points to the front door and says, "Papa?" because he wants to go outside to help him. And when he sees tools in the house he says Papa, too. Sad that he misses him, but cute. We're SO much closer to selling our house now - I feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel. And our neighbors are loving it because the curb appeal of our little abode went from 0 to about 75 in 3 weeks. Next and last big projects: new roof and a driveway! We're hiring people to do those, so that'll be kinda nice.

| We got Ian an awesome bike seat with his Christmas money. It's called an iBert and he loves it! It's so much better then the seats that go behind the adult or the trailers that get pulled behind the bike - the child can see so much more and the adult has much better control of the bike. Josh said he can barely tell that Ian's even on there. Yay for family bike rides!
